How can I download images?
-
Directly via our scisdata website https://my.scisdata.com (a valid SCIS Data subscription is required)
Cover images are included for download when a request for catalogue records is made on our website. Depending on the download preferences of the account, the cover images will be downloaded together with the catalogue records in a zipped file, or separately in their own zipped file. There will be a cover images file created for download regardless of whether images are available for the requested books.
-
Automatically via your LMS (Library Management System) either using Z3950 or the scisdata API
Vendors may choose to configure their library systems either to link dynamically to the images or to retrieve images for local storage. A valid SCIS username and password is required.
If you have further questions on this automatic option, we recommend you ask your LMS vendor support team for setup steps specific to your LMS.
How do we source our images?
Education Services Australia has an agreement with a third party image provider which allows SCIS to retrieve and store their book cover images for the purpose of supplying them to schools. Schools may use the book cover images within their library catalogues and on the school website, including in blogs, wikis, online newsletters and intranets. For full details see the SCIS terms and conditions.
