A SCIS Data subscription is required to access SCIS records through Z39.50. Most modern library management systems support Z39.50, which is also known as Z-cataloguing and rapid cataloguing. Please contact your vendor if you are unsure whether this function is available in your system.
In order to correctly configure your LMS to access Z39.50, you will need the following SCIS database configuration details:
Domain name/IP address: z3950.scis.curriculum.edu.au
Database name: Voyager
Port: 7090
Username: Your SCIS Z39.50 username (5–7 digit number)
Password: Your SCIS Z39.50 password
Please note: your Z39.50 username and password may be different from the credentials you use to log in to SCIS.
If you have entered the above credentials and are receiving a 'failed to connect' or similar error message, please ensure that we have enabled your Z39.50 access. You may find your LMS is already configured for SCIS access. If not, you may wish to check your LMS's user manual for more information or contact your vendor support for assistance.
