Z39.50 – also known as Z-cataloguing and rapid cataloguing – is a protocol that allows you to search and import library records from remote databases such as SCIS Data within your library management system (LMS). It provides a seamless, streamlined user experience.
To download SCIS records via Z39.50, you need a current SCIS Data subscription, and your LMS requires Z39.50 capability. To set up Z39.50, your LMS will need to be configured to access the SCIS database. For instructions, please see How do I set up Z39.50?.
